Lunchtime!

I am sitting in my office trying to catch up with all of the work from last week as well as preparing for the work I see lying in my future. Such fun!
I have spent a lot of time just trying to clear out emails and leave only those I need to work on but as I clear them out others keep arriving, it is like someone is watching me and as I lean back in the chair they push the send button.
My work for The Church is in the Physical Facilities Department and I am responsible for the purchasing of Real Estate in our area. My specefic area of responsibility includes the Indian Ocean Islands (Reunion, Madagascar etc), Mocambique, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. Right now I am working on some properties in Madagascar trying to get paperwork sorted out as well as negotiating with sellers to finalise pricing.

I REALLY dislike paperwork.

Possibly this has to do with the fact that I have no real working system for everything that comes in. I do try to store all of my information electronically (a little easier for me) so I can access it easily as well as find old docs etc. but I also need to keep hard copies in a file of everything which comes in so others have access to it. This is the harder part for me - knowing what of all my electronic information I need to print and file. This means sorting through every project for all papers received, emails / correspondence etc and compiling it together in seperate prject files. Anyone who bothers to read this post may be going "Duh! How easy is that?" but it is something I seem to struggle with.
Anyway, moving on. It seems my mother in law is indeed moving back in with her estranged husband which means Ruby and I have to do some work on our house to prepare it for sale. We have had tennants in the house for a while with the house on the market but had to move them out to give my mother in law a place for a while. The place has been getting some much needed attention with her there but with her now leaving we are going to have to get things stepped up a notch to allow us to sell quickly. We are trying to get out of debt and feel the best way right now is to continue with the selling of the house and using that money to settle a big chunk of our bond. That way we will be able to fit some food storage into the budget and once that is complete, plough any surplus into the reduced bond. Oh to be debt free...

Seems I am writing a complaint book here instead of a casual update... Got to get back to work - lunchtime is over!
